Patterns can bring unexpected awe, too. Hidden things might be found in them.
Awe is an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, unexpected. It creates an almost out-of-body experience. It takes us outside of ourselves. We forget about the nightly news, our pain, cares, and worries. The right, and at times simple, ↑ some Awe ↑ is exactly the sunshine and medicine needed. To experience joy even when rains fall. "The joy [and awe] of the Lord is our strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).

↑ some Awe ↑ colored red
An unexpected thing happened on the way walking through our awesome park today. Skittish "Red" didn't seem afraid; however, when one's color is so easily noticed, fear is instinctive for survival. His tantalizing quality for attracting female cardinals also makes him a huge target for being gawked at. He naturally and quickly hopped through the thickets, attempting to hide.
The sound of rustling twigs first caught my attention. Then, the distinctive red was like an eye-magnet. And, realizing that it was a cardinal rather than berries or a dropped scarf ... combined with being able to capture an amateur but perfectly-posed photo of him... created ↑ some Awe ↑
